The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.
SASSA will be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely sassa status functional office committed to service the area daily. The service level developed for intervention experiences a higher inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
